An online language school for adults
Say something. Be heard.
Free, no card. Two taps and you’re speaking.
From our film. No stock photos: the stones are the logo. Coral is you, Ink listens, Sage is today’s practice.
Free · about three minutes
First, find out where your speaking is. Out loud.
No test paper, no multiple choice. You answer three short questions, one take each. We listen to how you really speak: where you keep going, where you reach for a word. You get an estimate in words, with lines you actually said.

Your microphone is used only during the check.
Each answer saves while you carry on. One take.
What went well, what to work on. Made automatically; it can be wrong, and when we can’t tell, we say so.
Open now in Spanish, English and Russian. German and Polish are being prepared.
Daily practice · free
Then a few minutes a day, made for your level.
Every day brings three short parts. Finish them and today’s stone fills in. Miss a day and nothing is lost: one rest day a week is built in.
- Read or listen
A short piece in Spanish, for your level. Tap any word.
- Remember
A few cards from what you have read and said.
- Speak
About a minute, out loud. One thing to keep, one to fix.

Starting from nothing?
Spanish from zero, unit by unit.
A free starter course takes you from your first words to a first conversation: twelve short units, each about ten minutes, each ending with you saying something out loud. Today picks up where the course leaves off.
Over time
Watch it add up, stone by stone.
Days practised, phrases kept, and every few weeks a short speaking check in the same format, so you can compare yourself with yourself. If we can’t hear a clear change yet, we say so.
- Yes
- Days practised, runs, phrases kept, your own speaking measures over time.
- Never
- Leagues, XP, hearts, streak guilt, a percentage fluent, a level promised by a date.

People, not points
A small community of learners and tutors.
Share a finished day or a kept phrase, read what others are working on, and get a “well done” from someone who knows how hard it is. Tutors are members too. It’s small, and it’s real.
Members are 18 or over. Initials only, no photos. Anything reported three times is hidden.
When you want more
An hour a week with the same tutor.
A real conversation, live on video, with correction while you talk. You leave with one thing to keep, one to fix and one to use next week. Spanish tutors are joining now: leave your email and we’ll write once, when they open.

Is this another Duolingo?
No. There are no hearts, leagues or streak guilt, and the point of every day is that you speak out loud and get something to keep and something to fix. A tutor is there when you want a person.
What’s free, exactly?
Daily practice in up to two languages, the speaking check, your progress and the community. No card. Lessons with a tutor are paid.
I did Spanish at school and forgot it all. Is it for me?
Yes. The starter course begins at your first words and builds unit by unit, so you start from where you are now, not from where you were in 1998.
Will you give me a score?
Not a score. The speaking check gives an estimate in words, labelled an estimate. Day to day you see what you did, never a percentage of how fluent you are.
Is the tutor a person?
Yes, always. Automatic feedback helps between lessons; a tutor hears you every week and stays responsible for what you work on.
