Recording your answers
- We record your answers and keep the recordings and their text for 12 months. Your result stays until you delete it from your result page, and deleting it deletes the recordings too.
- ElevenLabs or Deepgram turns your recordings into text. Claude from Anthropic or Google Gemini reads the text and how you spoke to make the estimate; Google Gemini may also listen to the recordings, while Claude gets the text only. We choose which service does each step and can switch between them. ElevenLabs keeps its own log of each request.
- The estimate is made automatically. It is Glossalyse’s own estimate, not an official result, and it doesn’t change what we offer you or what you pay.
- Your tutor, if you have one, and Jon can listen to your recordings.
- A teacher working with us may listen to some recordings to check that our estimates are right. They don’t see your name or email address.
You can answer before you have an account. We keep your recordings for 24 hours while you confirm your email. If you don’t confirm, we delete them, and nothing is turned into text or rated.
When you confirm, the recordings and your result belong to your new account, and everything above applies.
